Henna Brow Precare

To ensure the most even, long-lasting stain on both the skin and brow hairs, please follow these steps 24–48 hours before your appointment:

24 - 48 HOURS BEFORE

• Avoid retinol, acids, exfoliants, and acne treatments around the brows

(AHA, BHA, retin-A, benzoyl peroxide, Vitamin C, etc.).

• Stop using self-tanners or spray tans near the brow area.

• Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds.

DAY OF APPOINTMENT

Keep brows clean and product-free

• No brow makeup

• No serums

• No oils

• No moisturizer on the brow area

Lightly exfoliate the brow area the night before

Use a gentle exfoliating pad or washcloth to remove dead skin so the henna grips the skin better.

Come with freshly washed skin

Oil, sweat, and sunscreen will prevent the henna from staining evenly.

AVOID BEFORE APPOINTMENT

• No brow lamination for 48–72 hours beforehand

• No tinting within 48 hours

• No Botox near the brows for 2 weeks

• No heavy workouts right before your appointment (sweat disrupts the stain)

• No waxing/threading same day (should be done at least 24 hours before)

FOR BEST RESULTS

• Stay hydrated — healthy skin absorbs color more evenly.

• Let your artist know if you’ve recently used Accutane, retinoids, or had chemical peels.

Henna Brow Post-Care

To help your henna stain last beautifully on the skin (up to 10–14 days) and on the brow hairs (up to 4–6 weeks), follow these steps:

FIRST 24 HOURS

• Keep brows completely dry.

No water, steam, sweat, or cleansers on the area.

• Avoid touching or rubbing the brows.

• Do not apply makeup or skincare to the brow area.

AFTER 24 HOURS

Be Gentle

• Cleanse around the brows only — avoid direct scrubbing over the stain.

• Pat dry instead of rubbing.

Hydrate Lightly

• Apply a small amount of a non-oily moisturizer or brow oil on the brow hairs only (avoid skin if you want the stain to last longer).

AVOID FOR 48–72 Hours

• No saunas, steam rooms, or heavy sweating

• No swimming (chlorine & salt water fade henna quickly)

• No exfoliating acids, retinol, or harsh scrubs near the brows

• No brow makeup on top of the henna stain

LONG TERM CARE TIPS

• Avoid oil-based cleansers directly on the brows — oils lift the stain from the skin.

• When washing your face, use gentle motions so you don’t exfoliate the stain.

• Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds, which fade the pigment faster.

• Brow lamination should be done either 48 hours before or 1 week after henna.

HOW LONG RESULTS LAST

• Skin stain: 1–2 weeks depending on skin type & aftercare

• Hair stain: 4–6 weeks
