Things to Avoid 48 Hours Before Your Appointment:
The color will appear vivid, akin to lipstick, immediately after the procedure, making your lips appear slightly larger, as if you had lip filler injections. This effect will only last for a day or two, after which your lips will return to their normal size, and the color will fade by up to 50% within the initial 3 days. Initially, the color will fade from the inside of your lips outward.
As a crust forms, it will start flaking off, revealing a lighter, more natural color.
Initially, your lips will be tender. It's recommended to drink using a straw and opt for foods that can be eaten with a fork to avoid contact with the lips.
On the day of the appointment (Day 1), you can apply an ice pack (protected with a clean barrier) for 10-minute intervals during the first 24 hours. Ice can be applied hourly if desired, but avoid direct contact with the skin.
